Jobs?...For Money?...In the Music Business?...

Yes...YOU you hang with this straping young lad while diving for mic stands. This is Dakotah. He is the stage manager at all the rock shows that various promoter put on. Like others who promote, do sound, sell tickets, watch to make sure no one gets hurt, and of course play in the shows that happen here, he is serious about what he does, and is now working as a tech on stages from here to Seattle.

We have started this section to support the people that support the shows. Here, you will find a section below with information about the music industry, and jobs that make the music happen on stage.

Weather it be for fun, or if you always wanted to start working toward a job in the business of music...this section is for you.

Serious about a job in the music industry? We know that some of you are, and EVERY  person who works in the music business starts somewhere, but there are few resources (especially in Port Townsend) to check out more to see if a job in the “business” is right for you.  Below are some links to some great sites that will give you a heads up on the subject of production and tour jobs in the music industry...(That means actually making money and not having to work at a “real” job). It doesn’t happen on a local level very much, and is incredibly hard work, but there are jobs ranging from sound and lighting, to promotions and graphic artist, even entertainment attorney that pay great and can make for a fulfilling life’s work.  Check out the resources below.
