Between the time that Circle of Fear disbanded about 1998 and 2000, there were not a whole lot of shows at the legion hall that drew the large numbers that COF did.  There was someone in town that brought several Sub Pop bands to town, including Pedro the Lion, but if I remember right, they were sparsely attended, and not promoted very well. Waiting for the Sun changed all that by producing shows, with 4 great bands, big sound and lighting, and building a fan base not only for their band, but giving bands like the Hollowpoints shows to play on that were well promoted and featured the introduction of several out of town bands to the area including Schoolyard Heroes’ and Alien Crime Syndicate. 

The band was art rock /Nu metal at times, starting out as a very heavy thing called Further, featuring more songs from co-guitarist Bo. When the band changed its name, and started playing more of a mixture of Brett and Bo’s songs, the band took on a more commercial sound, and recorded a full CD in 2002.
